SMECluster Event 4 – Pragmatically Stepping into the Twinned Digital World of 4IR
The fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) is well underway and it is time to provide clear applications and implementation of the new technologies.
The 4th SMECluster Event provided a practical demonstration of how companies could accelerate the deployment of Industry 4.0 (I4.0) techniques into their workplace.
Of course there is plenty of technological hype and it is good to get the viewpoint of leading industrialists to provide an insight into the strategies and methods being adopted by lead companies.
This is why guest speakers from Siemens, Festo, Balluff, Ford Motor Company, Airbus, Fluidhouse and Wolfberry were invited to give their viewpoint on how I4.0 could be deployed into the workplace and discuss the implications from a technical and social point of view.
